Processing and manufacturing of punch needles

The manufacturing process of the punching needle
1. Wire drawing and cutting
The raw materials that have passed the laboratory test are drawn into the required diameter size by a wire drawing machine, and then cut into a rod-shaped blank with a fixed length.
2. Heat treatment
Before the heat treatment, the blank of the punching needle is adjusted and straightened on the straightening platform with a dial indicator, and then it is put into a high-frequency electric furnace or a salt bath furnace and heated to 800~1300 degrees Celsius, staying for 2~5 minutes, After oil-cooled hardening, the needle tip hardness can reach Hv590-800 after fine quenching and heat treatment. Then it is subjected to low temperature tempering treatment.
3. Grinding
Clamp the punching needle on the spring chuck of the machine tool, and perform grinding and shaping according to the requirements of the angle and size of the various tip bases of the punching needle.
4. Polishing
Polishing is to clean up the oil stains and rust on the surface to clean the surface.
5. Inspection and storage
Inspection is carried out according to the required index, and qualified ones can be packed into storage.
